Our Company

Who We Are

Why was TEAM MEDIC Formed?

Back in 2011 Team Medic was formed because it saw a gap in the market for effective and competent medical cover in the British American Football scene. Soon after Team Medic went from strength to strength and started providing its medical expertise to other sporting events. As customer appreciated the high level and proactive customer service that we offered,   soon our small but expanding company was getting noticed.

This family business now covers a range of events nationally, including, sporting and community events, tv/films shoots, corporate and school festivals.

Further to this, we registered with the Care Quality Commission in 2017. This allowed us to  undertake non emergency patient transfer and frontline emergency services work on behalf of the NHS. . Being registered with the CQC provides a level of accountability and gives confidence to our clients that the standard of our staff, governance, process and equipment adhere to strict government guidelines.

Our Team

Team Medic is a Customer Service organisation first, and provides medical services is a by-product of our business activity. We strive to provide a great customer experience, by forming a strong relationship that is built on integrity, honesty and commitment.

The office team has many years experience in management, logistics/operations, pre and post hospital treatment and compliance. We firmly believe that the good reputation and brand we have developed is purely down to the supportive and committed staff we’ve used over the years.

I was promoted in 2009 to Facilities Delivery Manager, which was the first time a woman had ever held this position in theUK. In 2011 I was promoted again to a Station Manager of Cannon Street and London Bridge. A key achievement within this role was successfully facilitating transport logistics, which underpinned the success of the 2012 Olympic games. Within my professional career I’ve been responsible for compliance, managing complex teams and £40 million project budgets. The skills I developed in these roles have enabled me to learn how to make crucial judgement calls in a safety critical environment, on the front line, which I have utilised at Team Medic to help develop and grow the business.

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead” – Nelson Mandela

Action without vision is only passing time, vision without action is merely day dreaming, but vision with action can change the world.

Impressing quote/ fun fact about yourself

Inspiring poem/quote by Thomas Moore –

Fight on my men,

I am hurt, but I am not slain;

I’ll lay me down and bleed a-while,

And then I’ll rise and fight again”

Sophie Fisher, Office Administrator

What is your professional background?

I’ve worked [SC1] in  children’s nurseries for a total of  six years, in  three different nurseries. I did my NVQ 2 and 3 at my first nursery which I worked at after finishing secondary school. After leaving my third nursery, I started working with a private ambulance company [SC2] assisting with patient transportation. I’ve worked with Team Medic since July 2018, on pts [SC3] and events. I am now very excited to have the opportunity to experience the office-side of the company.

What are your hobbies and interests?

As cliché as it sounds I enjoy spending time with friends and family as I want my daughter to have a great bond with everyone important in my life. I enjoy rugby, I used to play when I was younger, now I watch it. I  did first aid for my local rugby team for seven seasons.

What are your personal/professional values?

I believe trust, honesty and loyalty are crucial in everything, whether that’s friendships or at work. If you can’t trust people you work with you won’t be honest and therefore overtime  any loyalty will be gone. It’s important to trust your team in order for the whole operation to work, and work successfully. It’s key to have a laugh at work as working in a happy environment is what makes you want to go in every day.

What do you enjoy the most about working for Team Medic?

I enjoy the laughter at Team Medic. We work well as a team and bounce off of each other and always get the work done.
